Contract Summaries
There are five contracts that the client can choose from. They are largely the same, but they differ in terms of who owns the IP at the end of the project. They all set out an expectation that the client will be kept informed of progress and that we won’t leak any confidential information.
Company Licence
At the end of the project, we technically own the IP, but we give the client’s company a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use the IP.
Individual Licence
This contract is just the same as the Company Licence but for projects where the client is an individual.
Company Open Source
At the end of the project, we technically own the IP but it will be made open source so that the client (and anyone else) can use it under an open source license.
Individual Open Source
This contract is the same as the Company Open Source contract but for projects where the client is an individual.
University Licence
At the end of the project, we technically own the IP, but we grant the University a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable licence to use the IP in any way they like.
